Lao Poet was a very pleasant stay, it had a great pool with views over Vientiane , great central location The decor was lovely, Breakfast was good

The hotel is very attractive and the roof top pool is great for photos. The rooms are comforatble and well equipped and the location is great- right next to the night market. The reception and brekfast staff were very friendly and attentive.
Cons The sound on the TV was poor quality and made it virtually impossible to watch, which is a shame becaue I wanted to enjoy the room. I ate in the rooftop restarurant. Very little vegetarian options and I suspect very inexperienced staff, because they were quite inattentive although very nice. I would go again, just wouldn't bother with that restaurant. I would say the price/quality ratio is ok but perhaps not quite as good as I expected.
