I had a great stay at Mayan Monkey Tulum – Social Hostel. The social atmosphere was amazing, the pool was great, and it was easy to meet other travelers. I really enjoyed my time here. If I come back to Tulum, I would definitely stay here again!

Don’t Judge It on Your First Impression!

I wasn’t sure about this hostel when I first arrived. After a long day of travelling, it felt really busy and loud, and I wondered if I’d made the right choice. But after settling in, I completely changed my mind. The atmosphere here is brilliant – it’s really social without feeling forced, and it’s easy to meet people. The staff were super helpful throughout my stay, and there were loads of activities every day, including cooking classes, DJ lessons, cocktail classes and yoga, so there was always something to do. The dorms were easily the nicest and cleanest I stayed in during my time in Mexico. They were spacious, modern, and the showers were excellent, with proper hot water, which wasn’t something I got in many other hostels. The location is great too, just a short ride from the beach. They also hire out mopeds and bicycles, which we used and made getting around really easy. There’s a huge chill-out area if you want to relax, as well as a lively pool and bar area if you’re in the mood for a party. I actually ended up coming back here later in my trip, which says it all really. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, modern and social hostel in Tulum.
