Disappointing

The location was great. The staff were friendly and helpful

Cons The carpark had almost no spaces, we had to switch rooms after having a replacement key twice because the door was broken, then had to share a bed instead of having 2 twins. The price of the hotel didnt reflect the size of the room we received either.

Tired, run down and potentially dangerous

Great location Hotel lobby playlist was full of bangers

Cons The hotel is really big, but felt unwelcoming. The reception feels like a bit like an office when you walk in. Initial reception staff were frosty and unpleasant, and told us to come back later. Wasn’t a great start. Next set of reception staff were much better. Room was grey, bleak and in desperate need of a revamp. Carpet was stained. Strip LED lighting was coming away from the headboard. Bathroom was really tired. Tiles had been painted over but the paint was peeling off. The shower head was at shoulder height and the bath leaked onto the floor. I used the car park, which was decent value at £20 for the night. Unfortunately a piece of the hotel’s facade fell off and landed on my car. I’m thankful it didn’t land on me or anyone else. This has written my car off and meant I have had to make a claim through my car insurance. I would normally say this was just bad luck but with the rest of the facilities being so run down I think it is due to a failure to conduct health and safety checks. I spoke to the hotel manager who was pleasant and apologetic at the time. However he has not replied to my email asking for their public liability insurance provider or their reference number. This is slowing down the process and leaving me out of pocket. All in all, a pretty terrible experience at a cost of nearly £200 for a night with parking.

Staff were exceptionally good 👍, location fabulous, everything we wanted to do was in walking distance and was nice to be able to park my car somewhere safe thank you will definitely be back xx

Cons Not much to be honest apart from electric was cut from our room but staff were quick to react and had it up and running in no time

Mislead with free breakfast for both rooms booked

Property as ok the issue was that I had booked two room for the two occupants in each room to have breakfast included. On arrival only one person from Each room was eligible for breakfast as I hadn’t put their names down for breakfast. I have never in any of my other stays with any other hotel had to do this to be eligible for breakfast. We then had to pay full price £17 for the two occupants to have breakfast then.

Location and staff

Cons Air conditioning didn't work, toilet was leaking, windows didn't open

The room was spacious and had a good bathroom, great location with a good view.

Cons Needed to get a new keycard every day as it would stop working on our room door, very frustrating every time, apparently the cards are very sensitive to getting wiped if near other bank cards or your phone while in your pocket or wallet.
