Naprosto skvělé ubytování
Travili jsme zde jesnu noc, dostali jsme upgrade na Royal suitu, ktera byla naprosto skvela. Snidane velmi velmi bohate.
POOR MANAGEMENT DECISION
I like the atmosphere of the hotel, the swimming pool, and the breakfast. The location is not bad if you know how to get around Belgrade and use public transportation instead of driving in a big city and trying to find parking. The hotel has some nice touches such as a Nespresso Coffee machine, which I think every hotel should have at their price point.
Cons I visit Belgrade often and I have stayed in many types of hotels throughout the country. This visit at Metropol Palace Belgrade was not my first. In fact, I have visited Metropol Palace Belgrade 6, maybe 7 times. The management can check their records. During this stay, it was the first time I asked if I could extend the check out time, maybe 1.5 hours longer. The person at the front desk - Danilo - was very kind and said that he had to ask someone else. I totally understood him because it was a management decision. I do not know who the manager was during the morning of our Check Out, but she gave us only 30 more minutes! Are you kidding me?! The hotel was not at its peak, meaning they did not have another guest right after we Check Out. Also, I have stayed at Metropol Palace Belgrade many times and as a returning customer, I was shocked that they could not bend or accept my request to stay 1.5 extra hours. The reason I asked to stay longer was because we had a flight late in the afternoon so instead of being room less, perhaps we can lounge in our room just a little longer. At least they had a service where we could leave our luggage and we did not have to carry them around as we killed time waiting for our flight. A REGULAR CUSTOMER and all the management gave me was 30 minutes! I would be happy with 1 hour and I would not write such a critical review ... but 30 minutes. Kinda cheap if you ask me. Especially because I knew the hotel was not full. I have stayed in the hotel a few times when they were at full capacity. I can accept the fact that we had to Check Out on time to clean the room for waiting customers. But this was not the case on this day, at this moment at Metropol Palace Belgrade. DISAPPOINTED. SHOCKED. CHEAP. Not a class act for a hotel that is called a PALACE. I am not a king, nor do I expect to be treated as a king, where "the customer is always right." However, 30 extra minutes is not an acceptable decision.
