Overpriced hotel with poor service, stay away if possible

Cons super pretentious and unfriendly staff poor service we consistently received decaf coffee for our room, after requesting three times we gave up. Room service clearly doesn’t speak or understands English. For a ‘luxury’ hotel this shouldn’t happen. The prices are insane, cocktail bar and restaurant prices are ridiculous. Smell is too intense. After a few days it just makes you sick.

Good value hotel with great facilities

Beautiful hotel with amazing gym facilities. Lovely pool area and very friendly staff. Bus stop is just around the corner and the walk to itaewon high street is beautiful through the back streets. The staff are all wonderful in every part of the hotel.

Cons Room was really well equipped and clean but the toilet and shower are in separate rooms, the sink is the middle of the room which makes it slightly more crowded, slightly on the smaller side. The prices at the pool bar are very high not value for money; I don’t mind paying high prices for good beer and good food, but the Caesar salad and beer prices were extremely high and small servings, burger and hot dog stand better value for money. Breakfast at Cleo was good with western and Korean options, very pricey at $60 Aussie dollar per person but was exactly what we needed for a full day of exploring.

Cons Value for money is not great. Room is not very practical, bathroom is not very comfortable. Lobby smells weird. Hotel is nice but too old, everything is super old. Room to has no possibility to diffuse Netflix…

Ottimo hotel in una zona tranquilla.

Hotel molto bello, tutto molto curato, ottima colazione. Pur essendo di design è molto accogliente e non freddo. Posizione comoda per la metropolitana e a pochi passi da zona con tanti ristorantini di tutte le cucine del mondo

Outstanding service

Mondrian Itaewon is one of my favourite hotels in the world, not only because of the exceptional location and pool, but also because the service is always top notch. On my most recent trip, Yuna at reception especially made me feel welcome and went out of her way each day to ensure I had everything I needed to make my stay smooth and enjoyable. Thank you Yuna and the entire Mondrian team; I will certainly continue to stay here when I return to Seoul and encourage other travelers to stay here.
