Location staff all were very good thank you

All staff very friendly and helpful. Clean hotel.I last came here with my parents over45 years ago.

Very disappointed, stayed at Orchard Hotel a number of times in the past and it has always been a good experience.

Location

Cons Room was very small, sold as 28m2 but only around 20m2. The room (1003) was 1 of 4 small rooms in the floor, tucked in beside an emergency staircase. Front desk staff was rude, refused to acknowledge room was smaller than advertised and wanted to upcharge for correct room size. Universal electrical outlets would hold not chargers with us type plug, the charger just fell out the socket. technician didn’t seem to know what a universal socket was and said we needed to purchase an adapter to use the outlet! Booked “signature” design room but room was old decor and very shabby, wall paper peeling off in places. When we pointed this out to the front desk the clerk rudely told us that the “signature” rooms were darker and that we probably would not like it. Customer was smoking in neighboring room or in corridor, when we complained about the smell of smoke customer service “oh someone must be smoking “, no aplogy.
