Bathroom needs work

Comfortable room & bed. Well located.

Cons I received a room with a disability bathroom which was not great. Bathroom had a drainage smell and was generally a bit old and tired, needs a major uplift. TV remote was temperamental and only worked intermittently even after the concierge came to assist which annoyingly it did for him but not for me

Just somewhere to sleep.

Comfy bed.

Cons Asked for early check-in and never received a clear answer, when I arrived at the hotel they promised a call when the room was ready…they never called. If early check-in in is not possible or highly unlikely, hotel staff should just say do. I didn’t get the opportunity to use any hotel facilities because it was a one night stay and got to my room late due to commitments and the lack of a call to advise the room was ready. The coffee pod machine was not appropriately cleaned, I had to pump tanks of water through before making a coffee. Only 4 coffee pods, 2 decaf, were provided!! It is hard to work out how this hotel achieves 5 star status. Charging a fee to do a bed turndown is outrageous at 5star. No toothbrush, only for a suitcase stand for a small suitcase. Larger suitcase needs to be opened on the floor.

The pillows were comfy and the bed. Staff at reception were nice & relaxed.

Cons Breakfast was over-rated. Not worth the money.

Cons - bathroom very dated and the shower took 15-20 mins to get warm / hot.

The hotel was very clean and well presented

Cons Unfortunately the breakfast buffet was disappointing. Most things were quite stale and lukewarm. The scrambled eggs were good, but the sausages were inedible. And the pork sausages were spicy, which weren't marked at all.

Cons The request for 30 to 45 minutes late check out as I had to have a last minute Teams call was declined as the hotel was supposedly full… (it didn’t feel like that with just one person in reception…). Not trying to be precious here but I thought that was very poor. I travel average 100 days a year and hardly ask for late check outs but when I kindly ask most times it gets granted. I’ll have to back in Adelaide on 2 weeks do I will just stay somewhere else.
