Fantastic building but rooms are small !
Fantastic building since this is an ancient covent and an ex-prison but the downfall is that the rooms+ bathrooms are very small and not to the standing and price of the hotel !

Un morceau d’histoire
Bâtiment magnifique et chambre très spacieuse et heureusement bien insonorisés. Literie princière. Le luxe d’une piscine et de jardins cachés en plein centre ville.
Cons Accueil assez froid pollué pendant notre séjour par d’incessantes privatisations, neutralisant la chapelle située au milieu de l’hôtel, générant un bruit d’enfer (tests sons et musiques envahissantes) et coupant l’accès piscine. Expérience qui relève plus de l’hôtel club que d’un palace.

Excellent location within walking distance of the all the major parts of the city. Hotel porters were very friendly and very helpful with directions and taking care of our luggage. The beds were very comfortable and the decor of the hotel are beautifully done.
Cons Our room was very small and i did not like the open window in the bathroom into the main room at all. The hotel is pricey so the size of the room was a disappointment as there was little room to open our suitcases and walk around the room. Reception was okay but not overly welcome on either arrival or departure. The stairs in it means you will need help with your luggage.
Expected more room quality
Very nice museom hotel, beatifull patios, a lot of history. The staff is very nice, always willing to help. But the inside rooms are no confort.
A Taste Of The Real Mexico
Lovely hotel in the heart of Oaxaca. Luxury Mexican style. The building itself was immersed in history offering guests beautiful courtyards & gardens. Ideal location for sightseeing and sampling the ‘many’ Michelin star restaurants throughout the old town. Oaxaca is the foodie capital of Mexico and you will not be disappointed. Prices are probably on par with average UK prices for eating out. Like everywhere else in Oaxaca the hotel offers great food.
