Relaxing vibe, clean well staffed, lots to do onsite, would 100% stay again
Room: Executive suite with spa Fantastic views over looking the resort and the gold coast city sky line. Has an actual king bed, not two singles pushed together with the dip in the middle. Bar fridge stocked with a small carton of milk for teas and coffee and had a nespresso machine with good pod coffee. In room Climate control is really good for heating or cooling. Precise down to the 0.2 decimal place. Very spacious, plenty of space for our baby, two big open suit cases and the pram etc.. Note that there are two small steps in order to access the room. Cot was set up for us, with lots of linen/blankets as padding for the baby bed. The most comfortable portable cot that we have came across on holiday. Parking Free onsite parking, plenty of spaces. Good amount of undercover spots, usually free when there aren't big events, depending what time you come in and out. Pool Heated pool shallower pool and Water park is great fun for kids. Life jackets, vests, floaties available for kids. The bigger pool is also heated, but not as warm as the shallower pool, but very nice to swim in on warmer days. Very nice, safe and relaxing pool area. Gym Some hotels have a room with some equipment and call it a "gym". The gym at this resort is a real premium gym. A Gym junkies dream. Has every machine and equipment you can think of, for every muscle group. Showers and towels there too. Staff Staff in every section (pool, reception, house keeping, onsite restaurants) were all professional , respectful and approachable.
Cons The spa had good pressure but its shape and position of the air jets is not optimal compared to other hotel spas. But the view from the spa makes up for it. Bottled water only provided at check in, not re stocked every day. You must go down to the gym to refill your bottle and thats the only place you can do so. Hand Soap, shampoo and conditioner brand is Biology smart skin care moisture therapy and has a really strong lemongrass scent . The breakfast buffet was $44 per head, so we expected a greater range of food similar to other 5 star resorts in other countries, but it was all western style breakfast foods. Sadly the coffee machine in the buffet area had very bad/bitter coffee that no amount of sugar can fix. The in-room Nespresso machine coffee pods tasted a lot better. You can choose to pay additonal for batista made coffee though. And the hash browns and sausages were exceptionally good though.
