An Excellent Stay in the Heart of Riga
My friend and I stayed at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel during our visit to Riga, and we were genuinely blown away from the moment we walked through the front doors. The hotel has an incredibly luxurious feel, with an impressive lobby and a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay — extremely friendly, professional, informative and accommodating. A particular mention has to go to Linards, who checked us in. He was incredibly kind, well-spoken and welcoming, and immediately made us feel comfortable. We were also very kindly given a complimentary upgrade to a room on the 8th floor, which was a fantastic surprise and made our stay even more special. Our room was modern, exceptionally clean and very comfortable, but the highlight was undoubtedly the beautiful city view. Being on the 8th floor directly above the entrance, we had a fantastic panoramic outlook across Riga. We could see the Monument leading towards the Old Town, along with various other landmarks across the city, which made simply looking out of the window a pleasure. The room also had tea and coffee facilities, a modern bathroom with complimentary shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries, and a decent-sized TV which allowed us to cast YouTube from our phones — a great little feature for relaxing during our downtime. The location is fantastic. The hotel is right in the heart of central Riga, making it extremely easy to explore the city on foot. The Old Town is within walking distance, as are several beautiful parks and green spaces, while Origo shopping centre and Riga Central Railway Station are also only a short walk away. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, cafés, shops and even shisha/hookah bars nearby, so we never felt short of places to eat, drink or pick up anything we needed. There is also a pharmacy nearby, which is useful to know. The hotel itself has plenty to offer too.
