Cons No working sauna / pool etc

Very good stay, but some areas could have been better

Hotel room was well designed and new, and had a spectacular view. Fantastic gym, very good food in both restaurant and the quick breakfast place.

Cons Wellness area not working during our stay, and had no such information while booking - proposed transfers to Fairmount hotel should have been free (including wellness area not just tranport). Frontdesk/concierge was overall unhelpful. At a facility of this status I would expect to have an individual guest experience manager.

Overall its a great hotel, lovely staff, food was good.

The staff was the best, we had several instances where we were challenged with missing the bus and they accommodated us quickly by driving us to town so we would not miss our dinner reservations. The bus drivers were excellent in offering tips in town as well.

Cons The price for the hotel was way over the top considering there wasnt anything that went with the price. The pool is not available, the spa wasnt available. They offered services at another location, but timing wise it was impossible to take advantage of, so I was definately disappointed with the price and the limited experience there. I was surprised that we did not even get a free water with our room. While these other services were offered at the other hotel, it would have been nice to have that up front in the email reservation you receive so you can schedule something at the other hotel. We didnt know until we were there and everything was booked.

Cons Swimming pool was closed. View from our window was construction. Bar staff unable to make several popular cocktails because out of products.

Excellent service even though it was clear that they just reopened and many staff were very new and needed help or extra time. Great beds, rooms, decor. The pool was still.under construction and we didn't know this until shortly before our trip. So while that was disappointing they arranged for everyone to use the Banff Springs pools instead, even providing a regular shuttle bus. So well done on the service front in particular.

Cons I love the Rimrock and the fact that it's outside the main town. But some in our group found the relative isolation annoying even with the great bus connections. You can't please everyone all the time I guess but because of this location is a small disadvantage.
