Absolutely Amazing Paradise
It completely exceeded our expectations. The villa was beautiful, luxurious, and the view was simply unforgettable.
The staff were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our entire stay. We also had two private assistants, Vicente and John, who were absolutely amazing! They were attentive, kind, and incredibly fast with anything we needed. The service was exceptional from start to finish.

Memorable Stay - Not in a Good Way
17 years in the business, we expected a well-oiled machine. The actual is far cry from it.
It started with the tainted water. At breakfast, the glass bottle we were drinking from was tainted, a soap residue or dirt coating the inside. Half a bottle in before we noticed (see photo). I flagged it immediately to a staff member.
Nobody contacted us after. Not that morning. Not that afternoon.
I raised it again via the in-house WhatsApp line. The operator apologized and mentioned there's a medical centre if we fell ill. No explanation, no personal contact. We then asked to meet Bless, who had checked us in. She apologized too. She had seen the photo and said it's disgusting, but again, no explanation. Later, Samson, the restaurant service manager, came by and told us the residue was a "chemical reaction from the cleaning process," and that the water was still safe to drink. That explanation was more alarming than reassuring, a chemical reaction, in our drinking water?
To his credit, Samson worked hard over the next two days to make things right, within his means, and we appreciated that. But the misses kept coming:
Rima (dinner): This well-known steak restaurant uphill greeted us with a Dyson fan and a giant portable AC unit blasting the room. Not the ambiance you'd expect from fine dining. It was still warm enough that staff handed out cold towels to cool off. If the AC has been broken long enough that cold towels are standard practice, that's a maintenance issue, not a one-off.
Housekeeping: Inconsistent throughout. On our last night, turndown happened but glasses went uncleaned and the slipper mat wasn't replaced. On multiple occasion, housekeeping kept drawing bubble baths with flower petals without telling us, by the time we returned, the water was cold and the gesture was wasted.
Operator: Three separate times, it took 10–15 rings to get someone on the line.
Pool: Attendants could offer ice water proactively instead of leaving it self-serve — a small touch that goes a long way.
Linens: The pool towels were thicker than the bath towels. Small, but it stood out.
And then, the finale. On our last day at lunch, Samson offered us a complimentary dessert as a goodwill gesture. We picked a matcha tiramisu, and it arrived frozen solid. Someone pulled it from the freezer and didn't check it. Someone served it to us and didn't check it either. We left it untouched and, honestly, stopped giving feedback after that point.
Samson apologized again and said he'd pass it on to the chef. But at that stage, an apology and a promise to "pass it on" wasn't close to enough. Empathy isn't just acknowledgment, it's a response that actually shows someone understands what went wrong.
And through all of this, we expected someone from management would come to see us off on our check out day, after everything that had happened over our stay, but nobody did. For a property with this much reputation, we expected at minimum someone to take ownership in person, not a string of apologies passed between departments.
Mr Hans, this is indeed a memorable stay Just not for the reasons you would want. Can you or any of your excom members offer some explanations?
