How close it was to the venue
Cons Little lighting in room. I had to pay twice the rate because a concert was in town. And for me to pay $300+ dollars for one night to have a scrappy view of the roof of the hotel. To make things worse Booking.com said valet parking was $29 and I had to pay $43. Then when I was checking out I asked about how do I pay valet, front desk told me at the valet window. Finally got though the line at valet and tbey said I could have paid one time on my cc at the desk when I paid for my room.

Thanks to the management team, I'd stay again.
I recently stayed at the Sheraton Birmingham from approximately August 4th through August 9th. Although I experienced a few customer service issues during my stay, I want to take the time to recognize two employees who went above and beyond to turn what started as a frustrating experience into a great stay.
During my stay, housekeeping failed to replenish my towels on two occasions. After requesting towels several times, I spoke with LaShonda, the Assistant Operations Manager. She was attentive, responsive, and treated my concern with urgency. She immediately took action to make sure the towels were replenished and that my concerns were addressed. Her willingness to listen and assist made a significant difference.
When I first checked in, I also experienced an issue with the television in my room. It took approximately two hours to resolve, and ultimately I had to be moved to another room because of the problem. Mr. Enrique assisted me throughout that situation and made sure the issue was handled.
I had also been expecting a call from the Customer Service Manager regarding my concerns, but unfortunately, I never received that follow-up. Despite that disappointment, LaShonda and Enrique truly made up for the negative experiences I initially encountered.
My family and I were staying at the hotel during a difficult situation at home, so having employees who showed genuine concern, patience, and urgency meant more to us than they probably realize. Their professionalism and kindness helped turn what could have been a very negative experience into an exceptionally good stay.
Thank you, LaShonda and Enrique, for your outstanding customer service. I am truly grateful for both of you. You represented the Sheraton Birmingham exceptionally well, and your efforts did not go unnoticed.

WORST STAY in 20 YEARS
Severe problems with plumbing in the room. The bathroom was not clean properly. Tub still had soap scum and hair in the bottom at check in and the pipes in the sink kept backing up with a brownish like liquid substances. Valet parking was terrible and sometime took over an hour in a half to get your vehicle. was able to go out to lunch because of that. Food in the atrium wasn't observed and cold during breakfast. Workers were on their cell phones rather than assisting customers. Management for the hotel and parking were terrible at resolving problems and constantly had an attitude.

The Sheraton is wonderful with a wonderful staff. Lashanda and Enrique were amazing and helped us.
The hotel and staff was excellent and hotel was wonderful. Booking was not. My rooms were not reserved as paid for and expected so the wonderful staff at the Sheraton managed to find rooms for us and accommodate us. My complaint was sent in to booking and I hope to get this resolved soon.
