Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria

Well maintained hotel in the heart of Old Alexandria.

Within walking distance to water front attractions and restaurants. Room was a good size and seating and bed were comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Cons Overall room setup was excellent however the temperature control in room did not allow us to adjust the temperature to be warmer - the room was freezing. We were able to turn the system off however which helped to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Only one elevator was working during our visit (August 2026) and was extremely slow. A few times we decided to take the stairs down from the 4th floor only to discover the stairs don't easily exit you to the main lobby but through a maze on maintenance areas and office space.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!

My Jet Blue flight to Boston kept getting delayed so long that I asked for a hotel room and a flight the following morning. They sent me to this hotel and their computer systems were down. The young woman at the check in desk, Muriella, couldn't have been nicer-she went out of her way for me and was incredibly efficient and resourceful. The women at the front desk in the morning were also incredibly pleasant. The breakfast was excellent and everyone there was kind and positive! Excellent experience!

Beware of Added Fees!

Room was nice, but housekeeping only cleaned one day out of 4 . We were surprised at the added fees “ Destination/ Resort Fee of $28 per night, $37 per day for parking. Disappointing to say the least.

Poor customer service

The hotel itself was comfortable and clean, and our suite was perfectly adequate. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. The front desk attendants were rude and dismissive, and the woman serving breakfast was similarly unhelpful. Housekeeping staff could also be heard talking and laughing loudly in the hallways throughout the day. While the accommodations were fine, the overall experience would have been much better with more professional and welcoming service.

The staff was outstanding! The bed was really comfortable and the shower was a highlight with great water pressure. The room was great.

Cons The breakfast was very disappointing.
