The gym had great equipment. The bed and linens were clean and comfortable.
Cons The room would not cool lower than 75 degrees our entire stay.
Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile
Beautiful rooms with great views and an excellent bed, but service breaks down inconsistently across dining and room assistance.
Praised forclean and modern · friendly staff · excellent location
Flagged foroverpriced services · room space could be better

Localização é excelente. Perto de tudo. Hotel limpo, funcionários educados e muito prestativos.
exceptional
I have always considered the Sofitel brand to be exceptional, known for its high customer service standards and beautifully appointed rooms. However, the Chicago Magnificent Mile location exceeds my expectations each time I come here.I had a later than expected arrival, but the team ensured my check-in was incredibly smooth and comfortable. I want to express my sincere gratitude and recognition for the staff who went above and beyond to welcome me. Vince and Thomas, in particular, provided outstanding service that turned what could have been a stressful arrival into a wonderful experience. This property truly represents the very best of Sofitel hospitality. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
An average hotel which claims to be on the luxury side.
The good : rooms were clean, ok space and beds were comfortable. A bit outdated and closer to a regular hotel rather an upscale one. Breakfast was tasty and varied, with heaps of options. Double checking your bill is highly recommended since some rates are breakfast inclusive and bills come with the service included. Close to all activities and walking to everywhere is easy. Bathroom amenities are good. The bad: We were charged twice for gratuity… so pretty much our breakfasts were never included some bills came with gratuity included some didn’t so it was confusing for us. I requested to correct some of those breakfast bills to the front desk guy in that moment and he told me he couldn’t do anything (a big lie). Our AMEX 100 usd credit for each room was not debited to our account because we had to separate things from one room and another room even though the reservation was all in one card… so basically 75 usd were wasted there. We were supposed to get free “upgrades” i requested a room with two beds and they still charge for that. Even though the room was in a lower floor. I don’t even know how amex chooses Sofitel in their selected hotels, costumer service is miserable. Housekeeping came in at 9am, told her to come 1 hour later and they never cleaned the room in one of our days. Conclusion: it’s an ok hotel if you get a cheap rate, otherwise stay somewhere else. I don’t think I’ll ever choose it again. And they definitely need to train better their front desk people so they treat the costumer better, at the end of the day it’s our money who has them working behind that desk.
The hotel was conveniently located. The restaurant had a nice breakfast although it was expensive for what we got.
Cons The rooms were far too small for the price. We could barely get by each other in the room. There was no room service, no housekeeping, the front desk had to answer all calls. I couldn't even get an operator on the phone. The King Size room was apparently designed for only one occupant. There was only one bath robe and 2 big towels for my wife and I.
Our 2nd Home.
We stayed at the Chicago for a three night stay and had a wonderful time. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We also were able to get in a nice workout in the large fitness cneter on the 2nd floor. No heltel is ever perfect, but if you ever need anything the front desk goes out of their way to make you feel well taken care of. We look forward to returning.
