Sonesta Charlotte Lower South End

The hotel lacked ambuance. I enjoyed Charlotte but will pick another location when Ivreturn.

The lobby was nice. The hotel is convenient to the highway and a nice mall about 19 minutes inland. Convenient location.

Cons EV chargers played into my decision but I was disappointed to find none of the ports worked. I didn’t like the female drug addicts approaching my son in law in the parking lot. The outdated stained cushions in the room and lobby. My first room was in 2nd floor the floor had a live in motel vibe, the room door were worn could use fresh coat of pain. I had ordered an upgraded suite online but was told it was unavailable when I arrived. I was able to switch my first room it was higher up but there was a dog barking on the floor everyday….

Overall my stay was great! The staff was very friendly and professional. I woke up and heard dripping from the bathroom

Cons Was not clean, very expensive & overpriced. People drinking in the parking lot, broken glass in the lot that you pay $16 per night to park in.. on booking it said $14- this along with the pictures lead us to believe it would be unbelievably nice. Cock roaches on the outside entrance. Walked into the room & it was dirty. Looks as if there was black mold on the wall. Balcony was filthy. Carpet had not been vacuumed. The entire floor smells musty. As were we’re checking back out, the lady said “hm did you read the fine print? We don’t have a manager here tonight”

Cons The pillows was stink. The carpet was filthy! Hidden charges that was not revealed during booking! Bathroom wasn’t cleaned! We ask for washcloth and towels and did not received! We had to go to the front desk to ask and wait for towels ourselves! Towels were stained!

Bed was comfortable

Cons Had to pay extra for parking, morning coffee. Won’t come again due to high fee for bringing dog
