If you want a hassle-free, impeccably clean, and comfortable place to sleep with a top-notch breakfast before heading out on an Icelandic adventure, it is one of the best value-for-money options in the city.
Uncomfortably hot
It was blazing hot in our room after 3pm. Even with the one tiny window cracked, there was no cooling off. The sun was just beating down on us. Bed uncomfortable. Bedding mediocre. No washcloths.

The rooms looked a little bare in terms of interior design. The breakfast area was too small, although the breakfast itself was good. The staff at breakfast didn’t greet us, and the customer service at reception was also a little lacking in friendliness.
A great option especially if you plan to use the bus
It was modern, super-clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed and a good breakfast, right by the bus stop and close to the waterfront. Close enough (say 20 mins walk) to the heart of the city but also had sufficient good eating options nearby including a reasonably priced food hall.
Cons Nothing. Not a complaint but it is modern/functional rather than characterful and some people might find it a bit out of the centre.

Cons I know Iceland is expensive, but this felt like a budget hotel for a luxury price. I booked late and there was minimal inventory in Reykjavik so my options were limited. Very pricey for the level of accommodation and lack of amenities. Okay breakfast. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. Lots of tour/cruise groups.
