Still a good place. But not as good as previous 3 times experiences, staffs is much less responsive than previous.
Good place. Good environment. Good food from The Pavillion and good pizza from the beach club.
Cons The facilities is old and lack of maintenance. The wooden floor in the room is cracked and sharp, dangerous for kids to walk around. The 3 pin plug in the room is malfunction even though have fixed by technician once.

A Treat at the Best Hotel of My Life
First of all, the location is wonderful. Surrounded by the ocean and the jungle, the setting was very relaxing. I was also deeply impressed by the staff’s warm hospitality. I was very impressed by how proudly they carried out their work. Furthermore, everything I tried for dinner—both Thai and Malay dishes—was delicious.
Cons There's nothing in particular, but since the activities are popular, I recommend booking them when you make your hotel reservation. I forgot to book in advance, so there were some activities I couldn't participate in.

Love everything about this place. Rooms are tastefully appointed. Incredible breakfast spread, but what makes The Datai stand out is the warmth and hospitality of its staff who go out of their way to anticipate your smallest needs. Love the small gestures such as the chocolate pralines in the evening, complimentary fruit & ice cream by the beach and valet parking. What I enjoyed most about this trip was the sighting of local wildlife right at our balcony. Will be back soon!
Cons If I had to be really picky, I would say that the main pool area is too exposed and isn't very comfortable to lounge around in the afternoons. Some shade would be perfect. Light and fan switches can be quite finicky.
