The Godfrey Hotel Boston

Location was absolutely perfect - we could walk to the common, to Seaport and the harbour, or all the way to Cambridge very easily. You also have Downtown Crossing as a metro option literally 2 minutes away. The staff were all very nice and the free snacks were a nice touch. The room was a decent enough size for Boston.

Cons The room was very dark - the bathroom was well lit but the rest of the room was so dark, even during the day, that I could barely see in my wardrobe. The bed and pillows were ridiculously soft, it’s a preference thing but I’ve never slept in a hotel bed before that sags in the middle! Finally, the bathroom ‘door’ was a sliding door that didn’t actually close flush to the wall so you can hear EVERYTHING when someone else is in the bathroom…not ideal and I wish hotels would stop doing this!

Amazing stay!

Very clean property! The service was amazing and I don’t think we entered a single door that wasn’t opened for us. We were in the heart of everything and walked the entire time we stayed.

Rooms were spacious and clean, lobby beautifully decorated and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Location absolutely perfect. Complimentary snacks in room was a nice touch.

Cons Loved everything could have done with a couple more coffee pods in the room each day but that’s just a minor thing.
