A great location if seeing a show at the Princess Theatre

The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great location if going to the princess theatre.

Cons There is no restaurant onsite which was disappointing. My elderly father was unable to shower as the shower is over the bath making it difficult. It took over an hour to get our car in the morning.

The Windsor has a charm about it which I like. The location is brilliant for the theatre night we enjoyed.

Cons The Welcome was lukewarm and the potted plants around the corridors were underwhelming! I liked the originality of the room decor but my wife thought it tired and in need of refurbishment.

Location and the atmosphere of the hotel

The location was perfect for my visit to Princess theatre's matinee and a family dinner at di Stasio città. It was the first hotel I stayed at in Melbourne in 1980. In forty six years there had been upgrades but it still resembled the once famous Melbourne establishment. A trip down memory lane!

Cons The hotel's dining room offered a luxury breakfast but there was nowhere in the hotel for a quick coffee AND THE COFFEE MAKING EQUIPMENT (KETTLE) IN MY ROOM DID NOT WORK. Also I did not like the fact the hotel made a $50 charge on my credit card against possible charges and on checkout, without any additional costs, said the $50 would be returned to my credit card in a week or ten days. Why not immediately?
