The Hoxton, Downtown LA

Really nicely decorated room, very comfortable bed and very spacious

Moonlark's was awesome - fantastic service, food, etc. Loved it, would have gone back if I stayed longer. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience of staying at the hotel - I would stay at The Hoxton again if I come back to LA and need to station myself downtown.

Beautiful hotel with great pool

Cons Bad bed pillows which made for bad sleep. Bathroom is beautiful but has an annoying rain shower/hand shower setup.

Decent enough to stay for one night, but stay without a time crunch.

Good location with 24hr parking right across the street with two cross walks in opposite direction. Cozy lobby with friendly staff who don’t hesitate to answer questions.

Cons Before I walked in to the shower stall, there was hair on the shower wall, so it lead me to believe that they rushed to clean due to my request for early check-in which I was charged $60 in advance. Was told by staff that I’d be reimbursed for my early check-in since they had only one room available 2hrs after my request.

Cons The staff promised things and didn’t follow through, the internet didn’t work, the showers weren’t hot, the fridge wasn’t cold, the AC at the hotel lobby and elevators didn’t work, the pool was too small, the food and valet prices were outrageous and the service was totally chaotic and disorganized!

Cons the light switch operation, and dark in the room expecially in the bathroom
