Fantastic location close to Times Square, the subway and other transport. The bed was really comfortable and large. There was one lady who worked at the bar. She had only been there a couple of days. I am sorry I can't recall her name. I think it may have been Maree? She was just beautiful. Always wanted to have a chat and looked really interested. Gave us some great tips on what to do and see. So much so we went back to see her to tell her we had completed her suggestions. She was a massive strong point for the hotel. Can't say that about all of the staff - see below.
Cons The tin frame around the base of the bed was a nightmare as every time you accidently touched it, it made a loud bang like you hit a gong. You would better off with wood. The room got a bit of traffic noise but I guess that is New York. There was no fridge and when I raised it with management they told me there was an ice bucket and ice available on every floor. Every other hotel I stayed in on my trip had a fridge in it. We like to have food or fruit and drinks available when we need them and it is a bit hard to mange these with an ice bucket. The prices in the restaurant/bar were too expensive. OK i know it is New York but we found it much cheaper to eat and drink elsewhere which was disappointing. The check in staff made me feel like I was an imposition to them and we didn't feel welcome from the start.
