The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

Our stay at Amarvilas was truly more than an experience—it was unforgettable. We received a royal welcome, and Samra personally escorted us to our beautifully decorated room, where a delicious birthday cake awaited me. But the biggest surprise was for my son—a personalised pillow with his name embroidered on it. Such a thoughtful touch! We loved the food at both restaurants, and the guided morning visit to the Taj Mahal was absolutely mesmerising. The guide also took us to a local market and helped us with shopping. The property itself is breathtaking. We were lucky enough to see peacocks dancing in the gardens, and watching them from our room with the Taj Mahal in the background was a truly magical and memorable moment. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, right up to checkout, when we were surprised with a beautiful decorative souvenir. A truly exceptional experience and worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Pool, gardens, restaurants

The property is outstanding, it is very well maintained, the staff is exceptional, the service is as one would expect at the Oberoi. The restaurant staff went above and beyond. Chef Vibhor made my daughter's fave breakfast (waffles, ice cream, chocolate sauce- in fact he suggested it even before she could ask). Swati at the front desk was wonderful. The staff at the pool were so attentive. The view of the Taj took our breath away. It goes without saying that the property was exceptional. But it is the staff and the attention to detail that takes the cake. Indian hospitality, and specifically, Oberoi hospitality takes the cake. Hotels in other parts of the world could learn from you, you guys are upping the game and changing the rulebook!

Cons The room was alright though, nothing great. And there was no shampoo and conditioner in the room- I had to call for it. The food at Esphahan (which came highly recommended) did not live up to the hype.

Un emplacement unique avec vue directe sur le Taj Mahal, une résidence luxueuse et très bien entretenue (extérieurs, chambres, lieux communs) mais ce qui est absolument remarquable, c'est la qualité de l'accueil et du service, la bienveillance et l'empathie du personnel ! Félicitations !
