Cons Being charged extra for breakfast when you’re paying almost £1000 a night is beyond a joke. The hotel is massively overpriced.
I recently stayed at this wonderful 5-star property, and in almost every respect, it lives up to its luxury reputation. The amenities are world-class, the dining is exquisite, and the front desk staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. However, my experience was tarnished after checkout. I accidentally left a pair of pyjamas in my room. When I realized this shortly after leaving and contacted the hotel, I was informed that housekeeping inspected the room and found nothing. Given the high standards expected of a 5-star establishment, I am disappointed by how this was handled. Either the room was not thoroughly cleaned before the next guest arrived, or personal belongings were mishandled without accountability. While the property itself is beautiful, this lack of attention to detail and failure to recover lost property leaves a bad impression. I hope management addresses their housekeeping protocols, as a true luxury experience requires seamless service from check-in to post-checkout.
