The hotel is simply amazing! The staff is very helpful and polite, our rainforest villa was super comfortable, the food at all restaurants was delicious. We loved absolutely everything and we will definitely be back to Ritz!

There are five-star hotels, and then there are places that quietly redefine what five-star hospitality is supposed to feel like. Im a doctor, and my wife and I came here on our honeymoon, a rare opportunity for me to switch off completely. From the moment we arrived, it became apparent that this wasn’t going to be an ordinary hotel stay. We stayed in Villa 17, and I genuinely struggle to imagine how it could have been better. When we entered, the villa had been beautifully decorated for our honeymoon. But it wasn’t simply the decoration that stayed with us. It was the details. The little touches. Even the personalised “His” and “Hers” pillows waiting for us. None of it felt performative or done simply because this was a special occasion. It felt thoughtful. And that, I think, is the secret of this property: attention to detail matters here. The service is not merely responsive. It is anticipatory. There is an enormous difference between staff responding brilliantly when you ask for something and staff somehow knowing what you might want before you have even thought to ask. Here, it was consistently the latter. There is an almost effortless rhythm to the service, things simply happen around you, quietly and precisely. And then there was Sara. Calling Sara our butler somehow doesn’t feel quite right. By the end of our stay, I would rather describe her as our friend and companion. She added immeasurably to our experience, arranging everything with such warmth and sincerity, including our mangrove tour, and somehow always appearing when we needed something while never once making the service feel intrusive. That balance is incredibly difficult to achieve. Something that Gilli Lankafushi in Maldives failed. The food was equally exceptional. We tried most of the restaurants during our stay and, remarkably, there wasn’t a weak meal among them. Different settings, different menus, yet the same consistency in quality and execution every single time.
