A unique experience.
The Luxury Yacht Hotel is like most hotels in Yangon - opened in the optimistic years of democracy and now struggling to stay afloat in an era where there are no tourists. So what you are getting is what might have been a hundred dollar room back in the day for 20 bucks, with the proviso that all the bars and restaurants aboard are closed and it's mainly just abandoned spaces filling up with junk. You do get five star service at breakfast with uniformed waiters and suchlike, but I've stayed there three times and each time I've been virtually the only guest, so they obviously can't lay on a buffet so just expect an omellette, fruit and bad instant coffee, But the pirate themed rooms and the general feeling of decay and terrible design choices make it a unique experience. It's my favourite hotel in Yangon.
Cons Apart from the really comfy beds it's objectively all pretty terrible. But that's what I like about it.
