It was amazing comfortable and clean
Cons All the restaurant weren't open and some you had to make reservations
I liked the property but the food and location made it subpar
The rooms had a nice view. There was a separate space for the toilet and shower. There were several pools to choose from to enjoy when the weather permitted.
Cons The electricity went out each night I was at the resort. I called and someone was suppose to come when I return med from dinner-NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONES FOR HOURS. The food options were not with a Caribbean theme. The food was not good! There was limited access to other beaches as the beach adjacent to the property was not accessible. No gift shop was available. To get around it was confusing and elevators only available in the building a with the rooms not the other parts of the property.
Excellent
Le cadre exceptionnel et luxuriant. Le personnel a l’écoute et bienveillant. Chambre propre et spacieux, salle de bain propre avec un choix de douche ou baignoire
Cons L’accès à plage restreint, mer houleuse, baignade interdite
I would definitely stay again, loved this resort
Love the design of the resort and the restaurants and food
Cons I think they should turn this into a adults only resort then it would better or have an adults only side. They didn’t have a ice cream place and no jacuzzi
it was a series of service failures that significantly impacted our stay.
The property itself has potential
Cons Unfortunately, our experience at Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle was disappointing from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay. Upon arrival, we were unable to check in because a large wedding party had arrived around the same time and appeared to be the hotel’s main priority. A concierge rep approached us and asked for our names, which initially made us believe he was assisting with our check-in. Instead, he repeatedly told us that he could not find our names or reservations without providing any real direction or assistance. After approximately an hour and a half, someone who appeared to be a front desk or concierge manager finally stepped in, located our reservations, and assisted us. Even then, only one of our rooms was ready. We had specifically requested our rooms to be located close to one another, yet they were not. Unfortunately, the service issues continued throughout the stay. The breakfast and dinner selections were underwhelming, and the food overall was very mild and did not meet our expectations for a resort of this caliber. The hotel hosted a party during our stay, which we actually enjoyed. However, staff seemed unable to distinguish between hotel guests and members of the wedding party, which added to the overall lack of organization. Cleanliness was another major concern. The sheets in our room did not appear to be properly clean. Thankfully, we travel with our own disposable sheets, so we’re able to use those instead. However, guests should never feel that they need their own bedding because they are uncomfortable with the cleanliness of the linens provided by the hotel. One of the most frustrating situations happened on our final night when one of our room keys stopped working. We had to return to the front desk not once, not twice, but three separate times before the issue was addressed. After already experiencing poor service throughout the stay, this was incredibly frustrating.
The location was nice and quiet, and the beach was beautiful, although it wasn’t suitable for swimming. The room was quiet and spacious. The food was good overall. The steakhouse was wonderful, with very good food.
Cons The service was very disappointing, and some staff members lacked basic manners and professionalism. We also witnessed staff gossiping about customers behind their backs, which was very unprofessional. We did not receive room service or housekeeping for four days, which was unacceptable and significantly affected our stay. Management should pay more attention to staff behavior and the quality of service provided to guests. Beautiful Resort shows strong potential, but it would benefit from improved leadership. The overall experience indicates promise; however, the absence of consistent management impacts service quality and operational consistency. The team does not consistently meet expected professional standards
