Toller Aufenthalt in Tashkent

Als wir ankamen, waren wir erst etwas ernüchtert, da das Hotel doch etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, und einen Hauch 90er Jahre versprüht. Auf den Bildern bei Booking hatte das etwas moderner ausgesehen. Der Check in war problemlos und als wir ins Zimmer kamen, waren wir beruhigt. Zwar ist auch das Interior und der Style etwas überholt, der Teppichboden hatte deutliche Gebrauchsspuren, aber der Zimmer war riesig und mit allem ausgestattet was wichtig war. Während des Aufenthaltes haben wir uns dann immer woher gefühlt und waren am Ende glücklich, dieses Hotel ausgesucht zu haben. Das Frühstück ist wirklich gigantisch und an Vielfalt nicht zu überbieten - das war klasse! Der Pool ist nett angelegt, mit Barbetrieb. der Weg dorthin zieht sich etwas, führt durch den kompletten Umkleide- Fitness und Saunabereich - aber passt soweit. Der Innenpool ist groß und eine nette Alternative. Das Hotel ist 10 min zu Fuß vom Amur Temur Platz und von der Metrostation -liegt strategisch günstig. Am letzten Abend habe wir aufgrund der frühen nächtlichen Abreise im Hotelrestaurant gegessen: das war sehr lecker - wenn ach nicht ganz günstig für Tashkent.

Cons Wie oben beschrieben, wäre eine Renovierung der Zimmer zeitnah angebracht

Personnel is beyond the best. helpful, kind, respectful. Europe should learn from Uzbek people! Indeed, hotel is not the newest, but still good maintained. Breakfast 100% super. everything available what you can imagine. Even more. The lady who cooks fresh for you in the kitchen always smiles, and feel like she does it honestly. I cant find words how Uzbek people guest welcoming nation. really. i've been in my life in 57 countries, but this place is just the best

Cons Nothing to dislike. Of course, the pool, and gym, and the facilities are not new, but this people should see when they book it. You cannot expect that for example a 40 y.o. mercedes will be in the same quality like a brand new one. but this mercedes is quite okay in wyndham :)

Staff at an international hotel chain should have better training.

It was where I wanted to be based in Tashkent. Spacious room, good in-room facilities, and also a late-ish check out time of 12noon.

Cons In an international hotel, I expected the staff to be better trained. It was rare to get a smile from any member of staff. On arriving at the restaurant for lunch, staff continued to chat among themselves and ignored me. When finally being shown to a table, two continued to gossip among themselves and were moody and unwelcoming. The one exception was a polite, courteous and efficient waiter when I had dinner. Reception staff were ignorant (or claimed to be) that Bus 67 goes from outside the hotel direct to the international airport. Instead they suggested (four times) to arrange a taxi.
