Vibe
Hotels that skip the pretense entirely. Flip-flops in the lobby, first names at check-in, and the kind of place where the vibe is relaxed because the people running it are genuinely relaxed.

Drury Plaza Hotel Indianapolis Carmel
Rooms are spacious and clean with good views from upper floors. Staff is friendly and helpful. The main draws are free breakfast, free evening food and drinks at the Kickback, and a pool, which guests loved for families.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown
Staff here go way out of their way to help you. Rooms are spacious and clean with good breakfast included. One guest got locked out late at night when the main door froze, which was unsafe and frustrating.

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Indianapolis Downtown
Staff excels and location near the convention center works great, but rooms run small with inconsistent upkeep. Expect dated conditions like rust stains and worn hallway walls, plus valet parking takes forever and costs extra on top of already high nightly rates.

Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown Across from Circle Centre
Great location for Gainbridge events and downtown access. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms vary widely: some are spacious with excellent AC and beds, but lighting is poor in many rooms and some have maintenance issues like water stains and missing bathroom soap.
Hyatt Place Indianapolis / Downtown
Rooms are clean and comfortable with good beds, though cleanliness varies wildly by stay. Front desk staff range from unhelpful to accommodating, but breakfast and maintenance staff consistently impress. Downtown location works great for events, and the included breakfast buffet satisfies most guests.

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Indianapolis Airport South, IN
Beds are extremely comfortable and rooms stay clean. Staff members go out of their way to help guests. Breakfast is hot and decent, though the parking lot needs better upkeep and some minor maintenance issues exist in rooms.

Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel
Rooms are dingy, dated, and uncomfortable with cheap linens, thin walls, and dusty vents. The location downtown is convenient, but the hotel charges aggressive smoking fees and lacks basic amenities like lobby coffee. Only book if you get a heavy discount.

Sleep Inn & Suites And Conference Center Downtown
Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable, but expect roaches, mildew smell, broken fixtures, and hard-to-work doors. Thin walls let you hear neighbors loudly. The neighborhood has safety concerns with suspicious activity in the parking lot.
