The Roomza Report, Week of August 24
The Pacific Northwest gets ten destination pages, Roomza Deals goes live, the home page starts selling the room, and the hotel page gets a full editorial relayout.

Where things stand
- New. The Pacific Northwest. Ten destination pages for the places we know best, from the San Juan Islands to Sun Valley, and every hotel on them bookable.
- New. Roomza Deals. Real prices on real dates, and you can change the dates.
- Evolved. The home page. It used to explain Roomza. Now it sells rooms: deals, weekend stays, tonight, and the places you just looked at.
- Evolved. The hotel page. A full editorial relayout. It reads like a briefing on the property, and the price stays with you as you read.
- Holding steady. Room cards in Claude and ChatGPT.
- Holding steady. The live booking rail, three weeks in.
- In progress. Room Lock, expanding property by property.
Shipped
- Roomza Deals. A bright, readable deals page: city search, a map, a breakfast filter, and dates you can edit right on the page.
- The home page, rebuilt around booking. A deals shelf, a weekend shelf, stays for tonight, the rooms you viewed recently, and member prices on the cards.
- Destination pages for the Pacific Northwest. The Oregon Coast, the Gorge, Mount Hood, wine country, Central Oregon, the San Juans, the Olympic Peninsula, Leavenworth and Lake Chelan, Sun Valley, and North Idaho. Each page is curated, and every hotel on it can be booked.
- The hotel page relayout. An editorial reading order, a buy box that follows you on desktop, and a booking bar built for phones.
- Share a room type. Every room type now has its own link. Send it to someone and the page opens straight to that room type, with its own preview image in the chat.
- My Roomza, cut to five blocks. Next stay, your rooms, trips, inbox, more. Nothing else.
- Concierge, rebuilt around the conversation. One launcher, the composer first, and answers that show up as visuals. It also steps aside whenever any other panel is open.
- The guarantee page and the home cards, redesigned.
- Loading that looks like the page. Every consumer route now sketches its real layout while it loads, instead of a spinner.
Improved
- Checkout holds your offer. If availability shifts while you are booking, we keep the offer you chose instead of bouncing you.
- Fees, stated straight. When a rate points at a resort fee we cannot verify to the dollar, we say exactly that. We never promise nothing is due unless we know it.
- Every room type keeps its own price, under the name the hotel itself uses for it.
- Prices that do not belong to a hotel never show. A price has to sit inside the hotel's own range to appear.
- Fairer starting scores. A hotel with few Roomza reviews now starts from its own signal on the open web instead of a generic average.
- Real 404s. A page that does not exist says so right away, to you and to search engines.
Retired
- Borrowed card photos. Cards now lead with the property's own photography wherever it exists.
- The site-wide loading veil. It made every page look the same for a beat. The new skeletons made it unnecessary.
For three months this product has been learning to sell the room. This is the first week the front door, the deals, the destinations, and the room page all pull in the same direction. See you next Sunday.
