Rooms vary wildly in size and quality even at the same price level. Construction noise is a real problem, staff won't warn you or move you. The beautiful building and comfortable beds are highlights, but expect mediocre service and poor communication about disruptions.

The beautiful historic building masks serious problems. Rooms are dark and uncomfortable with loud AC and heating issues, poor service is inconsistent, staff sometimes seem unwelcoming, and the hotel nickels and dimes guests. Wedding events create noise that disrupts sleep. Some guests loved it, but most complaints cluster around poor value for the high price.
